Har-Tru is the Answer

Why Clay?

With close to 90 per cent of the top 100 ranked men and women having grown up on clay, this surface is the undisputed player development fundamental.

Clearly there is no substitute for clay to learn, develop and maintain your game.

Yet Australia’s percentage of clay courts against total courts across the country is as low as 1 per cent. This compares to Spain’s 84 per cent or to Russia’s 75 per cent

So the question really is not “why clay”, but “which clay?”

Over many years, Australia has been frustrated with attempts to introduce European clay, discovering that is not suited to Australia’s harsh climate, with its vagaries of sun, wind and rain. In particular, the loss of surface in dry windy conditions has proven to be labour intensive and costly.

We need look no further for the answer. It is Har-Tru.
